RULES OF THE "$100 GIFTCARD" CONTEST

This contest is sponsored by NBS International Inc. (Norfolk Socks Canada), 18970 Rte Transcanadienne, Baie-D'Urfé, H9X 3R1, Canada.

 

CONTEST PERIOD

The "$100 giftcard" contest (the "Contest") begins the first of each month and ends on the last day of each month, from May 2025 to October 2025. Please note the first period will exceptionally start on April 22nd 2025 and will end on May 31st 2025.

ELIGIBILITY

This Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who are of the legal age of majority in the province in which they reside. Directors, officers, agents and employees of Norfolk Socks Canada and all of their respective parent companies, affiliates, divisions and promotional agencies, as well as members of their immediate families (for the purposes of the Contest, immediate family includes children, siblings and parents) living in the same household, are not eligible to enter the Contest. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal and provincial laws and regulations. By entering the Contest, entrants (and their respective legal guardians or parents, if applicable) agree to be bound by and accept the terms and conditions of these Official Rules.

PRIZE

There are a total of six (6) prizes available to be won. Each prize is valued at $100 CAD, for a total of $600 CAD over the Contest Period. Each prize consists of one (1) Norfolk Socks Canada electronic gift card valued at $100 CAD, valid on www.norfolksocks.ca website only. The balance on a gift card can be spent on more than one order, as long as there is still a balance on the gift card.

Collectively defined as the "Prize" or "Prizes" as the context requires.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded. All amounts shown are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Norfolk Socks Canada reserves the right at its sole discretion to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Norfolk Socks Canada makes no representations or warranties with respect to the prize and disclaims all implied warranties.

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

Prizes will be sent by email to winners within seven (7) days of prize claim.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

For a chance to win, entrant must have agreed to receive promotional emails from Norfolk Socks Canada. Once consent to receive promotional emails has been given, the customer is automatically eligible for the draw for the month. Each order placed during the month will add an extra entry for the draw of the same contest period. Entry requirements will be verified and must be met in the draw. No limit of participation during the contest period.

Entries that contain typographical errors, are altered, tampered with, incomplete, inaccurate, irregular in any way or do not conform to the rules will also be disqualified.

SELECTION OF WINNERS

A random draw will be conducted electronically by a Norfolk Socks Canada employee using Excel software. The draw will take place on the first working day of each month. Six (6) winners will be selected during the Contest period. All draws will be recorded.

The chances of winning depend on the number of entries received each month.

WINNER NOTIFICATION PROCESS

Winners will be notified by email within 7 business days of the draw and must claim their prize in writing by responding no later than seven (7) business days after the first attempt at contact. If a potential winner (a) cannot be reached within forty-eight (48) hours of being selected; (b) fails to correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question; (c) is unable to provide proof of eligibility; (d) fails to properly return the signed Declaration and Release Form within the time period specified and (e) fails to comply with any of the terms and conditions of these Rules, then he/she may, at Norfolk Socks Canada' sole discretion, be disqualified and an alternate potential winner, who will be subject to the same qualification criteria, will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries for the Contest Period. Norfolk Socks Canada will not be responsible for unsuccessful attempts to contact a potential winner.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  1. No correspondence regarding this contest will be exchanged, except with the potential winners. NBS International Inc. assumes no responsibility for any online errors in this contest.

  2. Any material used in the Contest that has been tampered with, mutilated, altered, falsified, reproduced, obtained in an unauthorized manner, is illegible, or contains or illustrates computer, software, printing, production or other errors will be void.

  3. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, if the Contest, or any portion thereof, is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including but not limited to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, printing errors, programming errors, uploading errors technical malfunction, or any other cause beyond Norfolk Socks Canada' reasonable control that, in its sole opinion, could impair OR undermine the administration, security, fairness, integrity OR proper play of the Contest, Norfolk Socks Canada may, in its sole discretion, void any suspected entry and: (a) terminate the Contest or any portion thereof; (b) modify or suspend the Contest or any portion thereof to remedy the problem and thereafter resume the Contest, or any portion thereof, in a manner that best complies with the spirit of these Rules; and/or (c) award the Prizes from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the problem, while adhering to the criteria for declaring winners described above. Only the aforementioned Prizes will be awarded.

  4. Prizes cannot be substituted or transferred without permission of NBS International Inc..
    NBS International Inc. reserves the right to substitute prizes in the event that the prizes described are unavailable due to circumstances beyond its control. In the event an equivalent substitution cannot be found, NBS International Inc. reserves the right to offer a prize that is of lesser value than the original prize or to not award that portion of the prize altogether.

  5. In the event of an error of any kind, whether technological, printing, production, human or otherwise, or any other event that results in more Prizes being claimed than previously stated, the Prize not yet awarded may be awarded in a random drawing among the eligible entrants who have not yet received a Prize. In the event of such a draw, the selected entrant will be required to correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical, electronic or otherwise, to be administered by telephone, email or mail, and sign any required documents before being declared a winner.

  6. Winning a Prize is subject to the requirements set forth herein. All entries become the property of Norfolk Socks Canada and will not be returned or acknowledged. Mass entries, automated entries, entries submitted by a third party, and entries or Prize claims that are late, incomplete, fraudulent, illegible, unidentified or delayed will be void. All entries and Prize claims are subject to verification. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules. The decisions of Norfolk Socks Canada in connection with the Contest will be final and binding. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and local laws. Norfolk Socks Canada reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or the Contest web pages, violates the Official Rules, or acts in a manner that is likely to cause annoyance, abuse, threaten or harass another.
    WARNING: Any attempt by an entrant or any other person to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and Norfolk Socks Canada reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  7. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person who submitted an entry, the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. Authorized account holder" is the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, service provider or other person or organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the account associated with the submitted address. Potential winner may be required to provide proof of being the authorized account holder. All information provided by the entrant must be complete and accurate. Norfolk Socks Canada will not be responsible for any computer problems or late, incomplete or incorrect Prize claims.

    RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

    By entering the Contest, entrants acknowledge that Norfolk Socks Canada, Instagram, Facebook and their parent, affiliate and related companies, advertising agencies, fulfillment centers and prize suppliers, as well as all of their directors, officers, owners, partners, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, the "Released Persons") shall have no liability for - and shall be deemed by entrants to be released from - any and all liability for injuries, losses and damages of any kind (including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages) to any person or property resulting from A) a prize, including acceptance, participation, use or misuse of the prize; B) participation in the Contest, including access to and use of the Website; C) any claims based on privacy and confidentiality rights, defamation or delivery of merchandise.

    Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Released Persons are not responsible for: (a) any inaccurate or incomplete information caused by users of the Norfolk Socks Canada Contest landing page, by any equipment or programming used in or associated with the Contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of Contest entries; (b) unavailability of any server, service provider, online systems, telephone networks or lines, or other connection, as well as connection interruption and disconnection (c) theft, destruction, loss, alteration or unauthorized access of entries; (d) any problems, malfunctions or failures of telephone networks or lines, computers, systems, servers or online providers, computer equipment, software, viruses or bugs (e) communication problems or garbled transmissions; (f) any failure of Norfolk Socks Canada to transmit or receive mail for any reason, including, but not limited to, traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, or technical incompatibility; (g) damage to a user's computer equipment (software or hardware) resulting from participating in the Contest or downloading materials in connection with the Contest (h) printing, distribution, programming or production errors, and any other errors or malfunctions of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic or otherwise; or (I) technical, image, typographical or editorial errors or omissions contained herein. 8 . In addition to all of the above conditions, the selected winner (and his/her legal guardian or parent, if applicable), in order to be eligible to receive his/her prize, must sign all forms required by NBS International Inc. within 5 business days of winning.

    Any selected entrant who does not comply with the conditions set forth in these rules will be disqualified. If one of the winners is disqualified for any reason, other winners will be selected at the sole discretion of NBS International Inc..

    Any dispute regarding the organization or conduct of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
